TROPIC was facing rising electricity costs due to a change in tariff models, as well as a long-standing issue of excessive energy consumption within the facility, without a clear insight into where the losses were occurring.

Their main desire was to establish a precise system for monitoring consumption in order to identify “energy leaks” and optimise the operation of the facility’s key systems.  

Our Solution

We installed energy monitoring equipment and discovered significant losses in the building’s heating and cooling systems. 

The HVAC system had inadequate start/stop scheduling, and we optimised its operation. We installed CUES, which delivered a 15% electricity saving in the operation of the cold rooms.
